Style and Design: Alexis Bittar

{prices and images here}
I adore beautifully designed jewelry like the ones by Jewelry Designer Alexis Bittar.    In fact, I think my jewelry obsession is just as bad as my shoe and handbag obsession. (but I blame all of this on my mom!) I am all for buying trendy inexpensive pieces of jewelry but I cherish and treasure the pieces I have received from my husband, parents, siblings, and close friends.  Every time I wear a piece I think of the occasion I received it and the person who gave it to me.

Alexis Bittar has collaborated with Michael Kors, Burberry, and Sex and the City.  And, he was recently named the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Accessory Designer of the Year.  I came across some of Alexis Bittar's newest additions to his jewelry collection and I love them. I think any of these items would make an excellent gift or a nice addition to your own collection of jewelry. All of these items are on Alex's website and his jewelry is also available at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and other department stores.

I also wanted to thank Mimi from What Mimi Writes for giving me a "You're Going Place Award" and Bella from Bella Gets Real for giving me a "Stylish Blog Award" and an "I Love Your Blog Award" this week.  You both are sweet and thoughtful and I appreciate your support and all your wonderful comments. Thank you so much!

I completely agree in regards to the Sentimentality behind a gift- especially one like nice jewelry that you can wear and enjoy for years to come. It's not just about the actual piece, but about the person/place behind the piece.

Alexis Bittar really does make the best and prettiest things, no?

btw - tell me about your 50/50's. I'm sad that Steve Madden and Michael Kors knocked them off. It's getting exhausting. I would only go SW so would love your thoughts.

I completely agree, Naina. My jewelry obsession trumps my handbag/shoe obsession any day. And I love wearing pieces that were gifts from loved ones and thinking of them too. These are all gorgeous!
