All Wrapped Up

Yesterday's post was about designing your home based on ideas from your wardrobe and I am clearly a huge fan of the idea.  With the help from Phoebe we decided to take my kitchen table and have it wrapped in linen fabric.  There was nothing wrong with my old kitchen table I purchased a few years ago from Crate and Barrel,  but I thought the set was too "matchy matchy." I love the new look of the linen wrapped table because it is brighter and more stylish.  I had a similar linen wrap done with my office furniture and once I finish accessorizing I'll post some before and after pictures.
Before
After: the table is wrapped in linen and finished off with a couple of layers of high gloss

Love, love, love this idea. I despise my dining table, but it needs much more help than a cute project like this. It just needs to be dropped at the curb!!

The linen effect is just gorgeous!! what about wear and tear - is there a protective coat on it for spills?

@bollywoodstylediaries-I forgot to mention the table is quite durable (except for hot pans, plates etc.) Glass is not even recommended.

What a wonderful idea! Hmmm...I'm trying to think of how I can do the same to a piece of furniture. My tv stand maybe? Thanks for the inspiration.

Absolutely gorgeous! I'm afraid to correlate my home decor with my wardrobe...not exactly sure it would send the right message, considering a majority of my wardrobe consists of Target clothes that don't quite fit right. So there you go.

Naina, where are the pillows on your windowsill from? They look great and I have been looking for some bright ones for the windowsill in my own kitchen.
