Style Trend: Animal Prints

Until yesterday evening I had no idea I would be doing a post today on animal prints but here is how I got my inspiration. On Monday I found some beautiful animal print stationary with the help of one of my blogging friends Amy Labadie.  Amy offers a great service called  Paper Concierge.  Basically Amy will help you do all your stationary shopping! The website has a great selection of note cards, invitations, stamps, and other fun items.  Amy also has an awesome blog of her own called All the Little Things which I adore.  I don't know about you but I  like to have a good stock of personalized stationary including thank you cards and note cards on hand. So, Amy suggested a few options and I thought these pink animal note cards were bright and fun.   Amy is also helping me order matching return address wraps to go with them.  I cannot wait for these notecards to arrive!

Yesterday morning I snapped a couple of pictures of Ariyana as she was on her way out the door to preschool. And, I was already wearing this outfit in the evening so I decided to throw on this animal print scarf  and this bangle my mom brought back for me from Kenya. (Personally, I like the animal print trend but in small doses. )

So, voila! This is how I got my inspiration yesterday.

Have you embraced the animal print trend for the summer? What fun animal print items have you added to your wardrobe?

bracelet-gift from my mom from her trip back to Kenya}

Okay this is so adorable!! Look at that child!!

And I love your scarf, too. I work the animal print in on the shoes and in the lining of one of my handbags. Whenever I go to pay for something and it flops open the lining is met with the glee of a server or a cashier. So fun!

I adore animal print! Except only in really small doses, like shoes or scarves.

Your daughter is a stunner!! Those big brown eyes! xx

Love the pics! So cute! I have absolutely no animal print in my cupboard. I don't usually wear them, might start experimenting!

I'm not much of an animal print person, but that scarf looks very subtle. The animal print is not so imposing, I think I would be able to wear something like that.

I love animal prints. I think that when they're done right (one piece only per outfit!) they are classic. I have a pair of zebra print heels that I pair with a red dress. I always feel sexy in that outfit!

Oh totally! I always have loved animal print and I wear it quite often. But in small doses for sure. Your outfit so looks like something I would wear. You look beautiful and your daughter is too precious!

Have a great day, honey! :)

You and your daughter both look adorable in your animal print outfits! I definitely embrace certain animal prints, but for some reason I just can't get on board with leopard print. I like it on other people, but feel like it doesn't look right on me. I love snakeskin and zebra though. Hope you have a great day!

I actually haven't started The Help yet. I went to the beach a couple of weeks ago and forgot it, so I read the book I had on hand. So I'm hoping to get into it once I finish the one I'm reading right now. :)
